Wiring for a condenser fan motor
I have purchased a new condenser fan motor to replace a faulty one but there are 2 additional wires. The new unit has a black, red, what, solid brown and brown and white wire where the original unit only has blk, brown and orange. The unit has a three way capacitor but I purchased a new capacitor which is only a two way which is the one that was recomemded by the vendor. Does any one have an idea how to properly connect the wiring on the new unit. I know that the red one I can cap off as this motor has two speeds and the red wire would run the fan on low speed. I would appreciate any help.

    Thanks in advance

Read the wiring diagram on the side of the new motor and wire EXACTLY like it says. There should be no confusion if you follow the wiring diagram exactly. What I am saying is that forget about how the old motor was wired since you are not using the old motor.
