Varying Water Pressure on Kitchen Sink
I have been frustrated by an unusual water pressure problem on my kitchen sink. Any time you turn the faucet (single lever Delta) on, the water pressure is normal and then in a few seconds it will drop to a very low pressure causing the water to almost stop flowing. To correct this problem, I turn the water off and then on again and the water pressure will remain normal. In taking the faucet apart I found the teflon ring was broken so I replaced it but I still have the problem. Also, this is the only faucet in the house that exhibits this behavior. Any ideas?

Does this occur with both hot and cold?

It sounds like you have some trash in your supplies that's getting sucked up blocking the flow. When you had the valve apart did you turn the water back on for a few seconds to flush them out. Answer Harolds question. Goes it do it on hot, cold or both? Does this look like your faucet? (see image) What Teflon Ring did you replace? Back to you, Tom

The problem occurs on both hot & cold water. The picture that is shown is the exact faucet I have. I replaced Item #6. I did not flush the lines out.
