    Who painted this unsigned painting from early 1800's
    I found this small very old Sea Scape painting. Could have been done in a dutch country. I need to find who painted this neat old painting... Thanks Judy

    Wow cool! I'm going to search a bit and see if I can't help you out (at least some ;))

    It def looks to be dutch (Holland) or perhaps Flemish, both in style and in the scenery.

    Could it perhaps be older?

    I couldn't find anything. Sorry. I tried to look for some info about the boats and that type of boats. (to try and pin point time at least) and I looked for paintings with similar style.

    Where did you find it?
    And have you cosidered getting an art-historian to look at it. If there is a college or university near you, it might be possible for you to get someone to look at it there, for free. They might find it an interesting challenge :)
