Does "Not For Florscents" apply to spiral compacts too?
When I asked about motion sensors in an earlier question I was referred to some sensors and sources. Two of these, when I looked at them, say they are not for use with fluorescents. I hope to use the sensor with an outdoor fixture over my garage door, which now uses an incandescent bulb. I am wondering whether the "not for fluorescents" applies to the new spiral compact bulbs, which I had hoped to use in that fixture. Also, does anyone know why they say "not for fluorescents". Just curious about this last question. Thanks.

It depends on how That motion switches the load(triac, contacts). May work, worse case you could add a relay to handle the fluorescent load.

You can do that but you need an aletrshan to
Instorl a relay what a relay does is it has an input and a output the in put controles this atamatic switch so if you put volts in the relay
The output is a cosed switch and when you put a negitiv in the input the out put will be a open switch

"Not for Fluorescent" means no fluorescent.

A spiral fluorescent is just that.

For Motions the spirals are slow to warm up(brighten up), will likely turn off before full brightness is achieved.

If the sensors and light fixtures are already installed, put a CFL in it and try. Might not work but won't hurt anything.
