    Removing a tub diverter stem
I can't seem to be able to remove a defective Sterling Diverter Stem from my bathtub. I have sprayed it with WD-40 for about 2 weeks. Is there something I can use to free up the threads. It is a brass fitting into a copper elbow. I am afraid if I use too much pressure it will break off in the wall.it does not appear to be soldering into place.
