I have been looking for advice on what hair colour would suit me best. I have pretty odd colouring. I have brown eyes that are almost black and very pale skin, and dark eyebrows and naturally red lips. My natural hair colour (last time I saw it!) is a very ash dark brown, almost dark greyey colour. Basically kind of anne hathaway colouring. Now I've been dyeing it dark brown for ages, with the odd period of blonde (which doesn't seem to suit me because I can't get it to go light enough! And occasionally red. ) 80% of the time its dark brown. My hair texture is very thick and wavy and long. The problem with my colouring though is that I'm very cool toned, but if I match it with a cool hair colour, like black, or ash colours, I look totally washed out. If I mix it up with some warmer tones, it just looks stupid and doesn't suit. My hair is so big though that I want to get it right!

What do the colour experts on here think? At the mo its been highlighted blonde and its kind of golden brown, but this doesn't suit me either!

Sally, although you describe yourself, I don't know how we could advice you on this specific problem without seeing a picture of you and even then it wouldn't signify your actual colouring.
