Ceiling fan light kit doesn't fit?
I'm trying to install a Harbor Breeze Ocracoke 42" ceiling fan and the light kit that came with it. My problem is that it seems there is no way in the world the shallow cover for the light kit is going to fit over all the bundles of wires and switches protruding from the fan, unless I just jam it together as tight as I can, and probably not even then. The space is just too tiny to fit everything inside it. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I'd rather not damage the wires, so any insight on how to make this fit would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

The light kit came with the fan, so there is nothing you can do but follow the manufacturers instructions.

These are often like this, and you need to fold all the wires into that little space, using every square millimeter of space. It can take a bit of time and patience.

Otherwise bring the unit back to Lowe's, and see if they can help.

I concur with TK. I've never had this issue.

My problem is that the junction box with the fan is not the same diameter as the junction box of the light fixture. They are about 1/8" difference all the way around. Need reducer from 3 3/8” down to the base of the light 3 1/8” .
I don't know its name but I need a part which would fit between my ceiling fan and a ceiling fan light fixture replacement. It could be called reducer from which would connect a 3 3/8” ceiling fan base down to the base of a light fixture 3 1/8” base. I do not know the name brands.

What brand of fan? Flush mount or down rod? Never saw a fan with a junction box. Show us a picture of the fan mount.

Usually before putting on blades, you will install the Round piece so the wires go through the hole. Three screws hold it, 2 slotted, install 2 screws, twist piece in place, install 3rd screw to secure. Plug wires together, then fold and tuck so all will fit, the 3 screws allow you to try 3 ways, only one way usually works, with the reversing switch in the recess of the light fixture.
