    LED light colors
    Hi Guys!
Its me again... just encounter a problem here regarding on LED flex.

I have LED Flex (flexible).. which is a replacement for neons.. just to give you an idea.
We have different colors, red,blue,green,warmwhite,white,yellow.. etc.

There is a certain issue that I am confuse about it and here is the sample.

I have this warmwhite led flex, when you saw it, its color is very much OK..
But when I install it in a certain location.. for a cove light purposes.. the light emitted bacame green.. I want to know why?. I tried also it to the white led flex.. and the white flex emit blue color... Why?

For my observation, I think the paint color of the surface has an effect to it.. which is color beige/cream/flesh, second is the distance or the space.. but I need a concrete answer whi it happens... take note it is just for a cove lighting..

When you install it to an open space.. it emits right color..

Can you provide the make and model number of the product you have?

    Something similar to this:

Flexible LED Light Strips | Marktech LED Lighting

Also, what is the material and color of the surface that the flex light illuminates?

The flex light probably has at least three color led's, blue, green, and red. With the right combination of color and quantity, the resulting mixed light will be "warm white" or close to 3000 Deg Kelvin.

I suspect that due to the color and/or reflectance of this surface is causing the mixed light emitted from the LED is getting filtered somehow, and the result is the blue or green that you see.

The material is rubberized plastic and the color of the surface is beige

What LED product do you have?

I believe you will see several different LED lights inside, and the surface that the light is being reflected off is filtering or absorbing certain colors and only allowing certain colors to be reflected.

    So your product is this:

Shenzhen Singten Technology Co.,Ltd|Product|LED Strip flexible Neon Tube

Not a very good website, the data given for the prodcut is minimal, even the photo is not that great.

I don't see where it is to give warm white light.

All I see is different color strings or bands.

When you have the light in your hand the color looks fine, you say. Once you install it in the area where you don't see the string, only the reflected light, is when you see one color.

The issue is the surface is absorbing the other colros, and only reflecting the blue or green.

You can try another product, or try changing the color of the surface, perhaps white.

This may be more than you need, but will help explain:
