    Cleaning stainless?
I have tried a lot of things including..
    Olive oil
    Stainless cleaner
Pledge (it says you can use of Stainless)
    Glass cleaner
Home made recipe of rubbing alcohol, ammonia and dish soap w/water

I am about to try the car wax that I heard on the radio this morning.

Does any one have any suggestions to clean Stainless in the kitchen? That doesn't leave streaks and preferably fingerprints?

    Stainless is SO over rated!

If this is for your stainless steel sink - I have a stainless steel sink and I gave up trying to get it clean. I just use Comet with Bleach and a sponge and it gets as clean as it's going to get and I stop before I get nuts about it. Some stains won't come off. If you find something that works - by all means let me know. I'm all ears here.

Actually it's for my fridge and I always get streaks and it is really pissing me off. I should just be able to wipe it down and have it look normal, but noooooo!

No problem with my sink, but it is sort of a brushed stainless, same with the dishwasher.

    Dahlia:

What are we starting with before the streaks? Fingerprints?

All the junk you tried isn't going to work. I'd try a citrus based cleaner first such as http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/20-4470, but there should be plenty of others at the store. I now methanol will work, but that isn't available locally. The nasty stuff that used to work, liquid Freon, has been replaced with citrus based stuff. I want a degreaser that won't harm surrounding surfaces. Citrus followed by methanol will definitely work. The citrus will cut the grease and the methanol will eliminate the streaks.

    Twinkie:

Sink stains: WD-40 and 1000 Grit wet/dry sandpaper or smaller (higher number) Brush in one direction. Keep rinsing the paper with the WD-40.

It will get the stain out and then use stainless cleanser.

Methanol: Methyl Alcohol, ACS (Methanol), 16oz for sale. Buy from The Science Company.

    BTW: Use Vinyl gloves
