    Ganglion removal
I have a ganglia at the bottom of my hand. My doctor advised me to remove it but I am scared. Has anybody done the ganglia removal surgery? And if so can you tell me if it hurts a lot after the operation and if you regain the movement of you hand right afterwards please?

    Thanks a lot!

I had a ganglion, but I did got rid of it the old fashioned way, I got my husband to whack it with a heavy book. For obvious reasons, your doctor is not going to suggest this. It's up to you to decide if you'd rather have the operation.

Was the ganglia at the side of your palm or on top of your hand? Because mine is on the side of the palm of my hand and I am afraid that I will break it if I hit it by a heavy book.

That's the idea. You bash it with the spine of a heavy book, and it breaks it up harmlessly.

But I may break my hand if I do that. Where was your ganglia?

It was actually on my foot. But ganglions always from where there is a bunch of small bones. You never get them on your thigh, for instance. The book breaks up the ganglion.

Or you could have the op.
