    Sex & periods
OK so my boyfriend and I had sex a couple hours after my period stopped while we were doing it we stopped and when he pulled out his penis was full of blood.. is that normal for my period to return or should we be worried because he kind of felt uncomfortable..!

    No it's normal.

Having sex actually "speeds" up your period only because there is all that action happening in there. It's normal for it to stop and "suddenly" come back. Truth is it never went away.

It's okay to have sex on your period.

Also please be aware that you MAY get pregnant this way- so if your not looking to have any children please use a method of contraception, if you aren't using any.

Just because your period stopped doesn't mean that there wasn't anything left in there. Knocking the cervix can often cause a bit more bleeding.

    It's perfectly normal.

Just wondering how old you are?

    Are you on birth control?

Even if you are on the pill he should still be wearing a condom, especially when you have your period.
I asked my doctor about sex during your period and he said it is perfectly safe but you should use a condom to prevent infections.
