I have a friend and she's not breast feeding and had sex 6 days after giving birth and still having sex she got her period but it has been brown and very light.its now 3 weeks since she's had her baby could she be pregnant again and if so how soon can she do a home pregnancy test?

She should not have had sex for 6 weeks. She can leave herself open to infection and other problems with a pregnancy before the uterus has a chance to recover.

Yes as long as she is having her period again she can get pregnant. She can get pregnant without having her period but a bit less likely.
She needs to get back on birth control asap.
I would wait until I had reason to believe I was pregnant before I took the test but she should be able to at any time now.

I hope she is not pregnant again. Or worse yet, with a uterine infection. We are given a 6 week period NOT to have sex as it takes that long for the cervix to close. Until this time it is VERY possible to get pregnant and/or get a uterine infection.

Your health is most important. The sex will be there after you heal. Infection is the most important things. If hubby or bd is horny pop in a porno or give up some oral.

She could be pregnant again, she shouldn't be having intercourse so early after having a baby her health is more important. Tell her to go to her gp and explain and then take it from there. Also if she's not pregnant to arrange some contraception.

She hasn't even had her 2 week appointment yet. Tell her to call her OBGYN. The brown spotting is old blood simply based on the color. But they give you guidelines for a reason. I'm quite sure her doctor was clear about this after the baby was born. They all are. I hope she isn't pregnant, that would be rough on her.
