Disability social security and disabled teachers retirement
I am receiving disability from teachers retirement and widows social security . Recently I received a letter with forms to fill out from the social security office. I had received similar forms from teachers retirement , so I wasn't too concerned. I went to the social security office to complete the forms and was told that I would no longer get my social security. I was told when I was applying that they could calculate the amount I would draw if I knew how much my teachers retirement would be. And was told almost exactly what I am now receiving. My question is , how does that work , can they take my disability after awarding it to me base on teachers retirement?

Try appealing it. I and many others have been getting letters that we have to pay back money or letters saying they are cutting it off. When you appeal it it seems like you may end up winning.
    I would
    A. ask them why were you qualifying and now they claim you don't
    B. File an appeals form and tell them why you don't think you should be cut off.

They sent me a letter saying I owed them back money from 2002 to 2004.
I asked why and filled out the form.
They sent me a letter saying I don't have to pay.

I think they are desperate for money so they are just trying to do what they can with people that don't know any better.
