    Uninsured accident
I was in an accident last month. The young lady ran a stop sign and was clearly at fault.
She gave the Officer a fake insurance card. I have called and she will not answer the phone. We live in Fort Worth, Tx and is there anything I can do or am I just out of Luck in this matter. I also sent a registered letter and she never replyed.
    Any Help would be appreciated?

Have you filed a claim with your insurance carrier? Let them do the work of seeking payment. That is what you pay for.

Call your agent to see if you have coverage for Uninsured Motorists. If you do, you can get your car repaired and any medical treatment you need.

You have a police report that documents there was another driver so that will serve as proof that you did not cause your own damage. The insurance company will do the legal work of finding her to recoup their losses.

Thanks for the advice. I only have liability and no uninsured motorist so my carrier won't even talk to me about it. I can't believe in Texas you can drive uninsured and have a wreck and absolutely nothing can be done!
    Amazing

Yes, that's usually the case- if you don't have coverage for Uninsured Motorists, your insurance company can't help you because they're not out of anything. Your next option would be to file a claim in court and sue to recover your expenses.

You might also want to report her to the authorities. I suspect it is a crime in Texas to lie to the police.

Yes, you can report her to the authorities as not having valid insurance. And you sue her in court.
