I want to just live out the rest of my life in peace and quiet. I have no money saved to put down on a home and my credit is still in bad shape. Is there any place I can go to get help?

You may be eligible for a VA loan. That would allow a minimal down payment and forgive most credit issues.

However, the crux is if you can afford the house to begin with. A mortgage counselor will work with you on that.
