My big screen projection TV has blue lines across the screen.I tried to converge the colors on the setup menu but the blue wouldn't adjust all the way like the other 2 colors.Can this be fixed by me? If so how?

I have a big screen sony projection TV ('95) that did this too, then the picture went out. All the research I did pointed to the convergance chips going bad on one of the boards (D board for the sony) inside. For my TV it estimated to be a $300-$400 fix. THis is mainly because the parts for my TV aren't really stocked anywhere and you have to try and find a specialty supplier.
