I am on L2 ead valid till Dec 2010. I recently heard that if I go to India and come back my ead will be invalid and have apply again if I want to work here. Is it true?

Not true. You EAD is good as long as it is valid and you are an L2.

I have filed Tax returns in the month of March2009 when I was in US and I came back to India in the same month with my wife.When I filed Tax return, I included my wife for filing the returns.Since she was with me for one month in US we couldn't get SSN (social security Number) and we came back to India in the same month as my project got completed. I got a call from Tax representative saying that I need to go to US consulate in chennai to get TIN number or something,as am not very sure about that and send the same to IBSN in the form of hard copy.So please let me know what should I get from US consulate and how should I proceed with that.Should I get the Number for my wife also in the consulate or its applicable only to me.. Please clarify me in this and help me in getting the tax return at the earliest.. -- Regards, Arasu
