Don't grow up to fast! Listen to your mom. If the guy really likes you he'll wait till you can date.
Mom is always right so listen to her.
Be patient. If he really likes you then he'll understand and wait. Enjoy your youth to the max, cause as you get older, you needa handle things more responsible, more stress will come , etc. Take it slow and easy.
Yes, I know its hard, but like it or not, you are to follow your moms rules. She really does know what's best for you.
Your mother's brain is a fountain of experience and wisdom.
Drink from this fountain, Child, and you will realize that your mom is looking out for your little heart.
Listen to her. You'll be glad you did.
Although I agree with all of your posts, especially involving the particular question (you're 13 girl! Just enjoy being a kid! Be friends with him, starting a relationship with a friendship is foundation for a better relationship down the road anyhow) and while I also agree that parents are very wise, especially compared to children who are still children, I WOULD like to point out that... parent's aren't ALWAYS correct. While I agree with you all that this young girl should listen to her mother, I am a 26 y/o who still goes to her mother for advice. My mom is really the only person I can talk to about almost anything, however, sometimes I wonder if the advice she is giving me is really holding me back. I love my mom, and I respect her wisdom, but what is best for her, and what was best for me when I was 13, is not necessarily what's best for me NOW. As a grown woman, I sometimes have to wonder if my mother isn't still giving me the advice she would have given me if I were still 13. I have to point out that, in a parents mind, their child will ALWAYS be their child, no matter how old that child gets, and their advice may be meant for a child, and NOT the adult their children have become.
I apologize for the random comment, I recently watched a movie that's an old favorite of mine, Now and Then, and this particular topic reminded me of a part of the movie in which it is pointed out, our parents are only human, and they can make mistakes too. They are not infallible.
I have to agree with you , However in this particular case we are talking about a 13 year old girl who's mother doesn't want her dating until she's 15. Therefore in this case the Mom is correct.
No apologies needed , ALL opinions are always welcome and gives the OP more options.
