What lightbulb for my Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan?
I (stupidly) threw away the old lightbulbs for a ceiling fan I hadn't been using. Now, I want to use it again, but don't know what size bulb to purchase. It is a Hampton Bay fan with 3 lights, about 40 inches. I believe the model is E307185... or AY-PE17? That's what's written inside the light anyway.

    Thanks in advance!

GE makes bulbs that are specifically labeled as "Ceiling Fan" bulbs. You can get 40W or 60W. Usually come 2 to a pack and come on a card type package rather than the corrugated boxes like other bulbs.

Is it not a standard size bulb that fits in there? MOST fans with 3 lights either use medium base or candelabra base bulbs of 60 watts or less.

My Hampton Bay 52" Colby bulbs have an Intermediate base. I can't find replacement bulbs anywhere!

Have you checked Home Depot and with the manufacturer?

Go to an electrical supply store. If you can't get an intermediate base bulb, get a socket insert that converts intermediate to chandelier and then use chandelier bulbs
