    GE Dryer squeak and squeal - eats my clothes
    Need to troubleshoot my 'clothes eating' GE dryer that's makes an awful squeak and squeal ~ about 10 yrs old ~ what could be the cause and how do I fix it??

    You need to tear down this drier and clean it out well and probably replace bearing on rear of drum and rollers supporting drum if it has them. Look on YouTube to see how to do this. DrTom4444

    The squeal is going to be the WE3x75 rear bearing. You will find it us thin and doing metal to metal on the bearing mount. You will find the front bearing to be shot also if this one is eating the clothes.
