    Generally, yes.
This does happen to most girls,
But you may be apart of the lucky few that it doesn't.

Old wives tale. It appears to be thicker/darker due to the fact of the way the shaft was cut. Most hair don't grow naturally with an edge cut like that.

It depends. My hair on my legs used to be very thin. After I shaved it was ridiculously thick. I can't even get a close shave anymore. My arm hair is also thicker and prickly now after shaving it.

Unfortunately yes, the more you do it the darker they will get- so stop not before its too late. If you don't like arm hair try laser hair removal but its expensive and a last resort

Nope, it won't grow back thicker, that's a myth.

I shave my legs and my arms, I have been for years, if anything the hair has come back thinner.

It really is different for everyone. Mine is definantly a lot thicker. When I shaved my arms the first time I first did a patch test in the same place a couple of times and it grew back thicker than the rest of my arm hair. It feels prickly even when it is the same length it was before. The hair is not going to get thicker every time you shave.it will eventually stop after shaving a couple of times. It can't be a myth though. Some people get thick hair after shaving and some don't. I know for sure mine did get a lot thicker!

    Hi.

    I shave my arms.

    Hate body hair.

No change in hair: it's not thicker or thinner. Looks the same to me- either way it gets shaved, waxed, Nair'd, Smooth Away'd off anyway...

I don't think it will matter if you shave them. My friend shaves her arms and her hairs don't grow back thicker. Its just a myth.

Are you sure you gave time to your shaved hair to cycle through everyone of its phases?: anagen, catagen, telogen. Once a shaved hair get replaced it regains its originale tapered shape. The blunt shape of a shaved hair which is also shorter gives the prickly and thicker feeling :).

Shaving doesn't alter the hair cycle, an anagen hair will remain an anagen hair even after shaved, so do a telogen and catagen hair, which in fact won't regrow soon after being shaved, because it exausted its growth cycle. So no. If you don't believe do the patch test.
