    Connecting shower drain to soil pipe
    I plan to install a shower cubicle on the ground floor.The soil pipe coming from top floor descends within 3 metres of the cubicle .It is a solid ground floor.How do I connect the shower drain to the soil pipe?Thanks

    Not quite as simple as all that. You will also have to vent your shower. By "soild ground floor" I assume you mean slab.
    You will have to jackhammer up the floor over to the main and cut in a wye or a combination with a two inch branch and run over to the shower location.
    That was the easy part. Before you install the trap you wiill have to roll a two inch wye up on a 45 degree angle and take off a vent over to the nearest wall. This vent will have to be run out the roof or revented back in the attic to a existing vent out the roof. From the vent wye you can position the trap and raiser to the desired location. And that's how you connect the shower drain to the soil pipe. Good luck, Tom
