Hello and good morning to some of you
I need help on connecting my laptop to the stereo. I'm using a compaq laptop and I wish to connect it to the sony receiver model str-de697. I've connected the rca wire and what do I do next? Which button on the receiver should I press. I'm really clueless. And I hope that anyone of you could help me out a.s.a.p. thanks so much!

Press the input button that matches the input on the back of the receiver that you connected the audio cable to. The receiver's Operating Instructions may be helpful. Page 12 covers connecting analog components such as the laptop. If the laptop has digital audio out, one of the digital audio inputs could be used instead.
