Adding an outlet to end of the run switchloop?
I have an end of the run light switch loop in my bathroom One romex 12-2 wire with black/white/ground coming in from the top of the switch box, and I want to add an electrical outlet below the light switch; is it possible to wire the outlet from the switch, or would I need to run another neutral wire back to the panel since the white wire is a hot wire when on?

You must either replace the existing 2 wire cable from the light to the switch with a 3 wire cable. Or you can add another 2 wire cable from the light to the switch. You cannot just add a neutral wire to the panel. The neutral must run in the same cable as the hot.

Okay thanks for your reply. After looking at a few options, I decided it would be easier to just drill down into my basement and tie into an existing wire via junction box.
