I can't open the gas tank on my 1995 Honda CBR 600. I am on reserve right now, so don't have much farther to travel until the tank is empty. I tried using a bit of WD40 but still the lock won't budge. I can't force the key too much because it will break off in the tank. How can I open this?

Try pushing in/gas cap down while turning. See if anything is in keyhole.

Any pranksters that would put something in the lock? Is it froze or locked and won't turn, look closely while trying.

I guess the spring on the lock was busted. I had a lock smith come in and take a look at it. He ended up drilling it open, and I ordered and after market cap. Now I have to wait a whole week.
