    Hi there,

I have one simple question: How can I make my internet faster? Without buying all these stupid fancy gadgets?

What type of connection do you have with your ISP?

For the most part you are limited to what ISP service plan that you may have.

Are you using Firefox or IE?

If using Firefox, there are some settings that you can edit that will usually help browsing speed.

If IE, there are some add-ins that can be disabled that may also help with browsing speed.

Check this link out and run the speed test it offers
Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test

It will run the test and then show what type of download and upload speed you are connecting with to the test server it uses.

    Hey CM :)

I've noticed that simply cleaning out the junk helps too. Use a program that's already on your computer called 'disk cleanup' to get to it, click your start menu, go to accessorys, click 'system tools' and its in there. Basically it cleans out all your cookies, temp files, recycle bin, it compresses old files, and cleans up any free space you have too.

Good luck hon :D but try seahawks suggestion first :)

I use Firefox because I watch a lot of on line movies and when I used the browser tweaks,it totally screwed up my ability to watch movies.
    Do you know why?
    Thanks!

Good idea but if you don't know all your passwords, watch out deleting your cookies as your passwords will go as well and you won't just be able to log on.
