Kenmore he2 stuck in the drain cycle
Hi I have a Kenmore he2 front loading washer that is stuck in the drain cycle. When I start the washer it makes a noise like it is trying to drain and sure enough if I put water in the washer it drains it out. The manual says if it is stuck in drain it may be because the drain hose isn't correctly installed. I have checked and it is installed correctly and been running for 1.5 years in the same position. Any ideas? I have tried powering off the washer and retrying and cycling a whole lot of water through it to no avail.

If the pressure switch is reading that there is too much water in the machine(overflow situation) then it will turn on the pump. Take the top off and find the pressure switch. Take the hose off to the pressure switch and plug in the washer to see if it still goes in to drain. If it still wants to drain then your problem may be the pressure switch. If it stops then your problem is a plugged hose or air bell. You need to clear the restriction. Blow into the hose, short bursts of air from air compressor etc.
