    Living arrangements
Ok here is my problem. I live in Kentucky. My girlfriend and I are planning on moving in together. Problem is she has 3 kids and is going through a divorce. I have full custody of my on child from a previous relationship. Neither of us do drugs, drink or have any kind of criminal background. I work for a very respectable company. Here is the problem. Her father and ex have joined sides sort of. Her father supports her decision to get a divorce. Problem is though he says she has to live alone. If she doesn't then he will give her ex the money to fight her for custody or he will do it on his own. He knows some pretty powerful people. Can he actually have a chance in court?

Of course he has a chance. He has a chance without her father's support. But since she currently has the kids, his chance is greatly diminished. If he cannot show good cause why she shouldn't have custody, she should get at least joint physical custody.

Her father, however, is treading a very thin line between being a DB and losing his daughter and grandkids forever.

One of the issues here is when you met her. Did you meet her after she started divorce proceedings or were you (at least partially) responsible for the divorce. This could weigh on a judge's decision.
