Hi... I filled the deep end of my 16x32 pool with sand, let it settle for a month and had a custom liner made for my "new" all-one-depth pool. My problem is that the new liner seems to be too shallow and there is a substantial space between the liner and the base of the wall. I double checked my measurements against what I sent the liner company and all is good. My question before I call them is will the liner stretch into the base for a tight fit when I fill the pool? Or should I expect the liner to fit tight dry? Thanks in advance for any help...

You can use a shop vac to pull the liner in place. Put the vac hose in one of your skimmers between the liner and wall and turn it on. After about 10 minutes the liner will be sucked to the walls and floor as if it has water in it. Trust me this works. Just make sure you have the other skimmer blocked off. You will know then if your liner fits.

Thanks for the quick response. Trying the shop vac now. The substantial space I referred to in my original post is about 3 inches. That is how far the liner needs to stretch to fit the base tight. Can my 34 gauge liner stretch that far without harm?

Did you measure the "liner itself" from the bead, to the seam where it should hit the floor? Maybe you sent them the correct measurments and they made it to shallow.

yes

The liner seam at the bottom of the wall really should fit in the corner where the wall meets the floor when it is suction fitted.

Even though you let the sand settle, it is nothing like having the water weight on that sand, it may still settle more. (more added stretching on liner)

1. The bead may have a tendency to want to pull out of the track
2. The seams may be weakend.
