Mower won't start; I've tried jumping the solenoid & all I get is spark, it still won't start. The battery is new. Thx!

If you jump between the two large posts and nothing, suspect that maybe the starter pinion has risen up badly and jammed. The first thing to try is to open the hood, place hands upon the flywheel screen, press down firmly and turn the engine counter-clockwise. If this is what happened, it will free the pinion. Does not mean it is still not damaged, but it will give you a chance to try again.
