Dishwasher - food accumulation in door
My Whirlpool dishwasher has a significant accumulation of food soil inside the door. How can this be cleaned?

Where inside the door. Isn't it accessible ? Best way to avoid that problem is cleaning and rinsing the dishes off before you put them in the dishwasher. If you are not, then you are creating problems and odor in places you can see or even get to to clean.

I have the same problem with my dishwasher - and it's also a Whirlpool. Are you talking about the lip around the door?

I scrub mine with a toothbrush. When I asked the service man about it he said some of it is undissolved detergent.

Mine is the kind with a garbage disposal at the bottom. I scrape plates and pots/pans before I load them but continue to have this problem.

I think it's just a design flaw of some sort.
