    API Error Message
    Hello everyone..

While attempting to play a few games today, I encountered this error message:

"Must call RA_Initialize before any other API function."

I received this error message while trying to play games from Reflexive Arcade. I can download the games just fine.. and it'll put an icon on my desktop.. but when I click the icon to actually play the game.. I get that message.
I can download and play games from other websites with no issues..
I have tried to find the solution myself.. but I am not even sure what that is.

I am running Windows Vista on an HP Pavilion desktop if that helps.
Ive already updated my Direct X because a different game required me to.. so I don't think that's the problem.
It can't be my hard drive space.. I have more than enough.

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

    Thanks in advance!

If running vista, try and right click on the icon and choose
    'Run as admin'

    Hi Seahwk83..

Thanks for the response... but I tried that already...
I still got the same answer... Maybe I have something set that should be.. Or vice versa?

    Try this

Right click on the icon and choose properties
    -go to compatibility tab
-use dropdown box and change to Run in XP compatibility mode
    -Click Apply and OK

    Try to run game again

    Hi Seahwk83

Thanks so much for your responses... I did try that as you suggested.. I got the same error message.
I went into the properties, then the compatibility tab.. and then clicked to run in Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
Which is what is says there..
    Same problem though... :(

My brother has Vista on his PC and the games run just fine... We haven't pinpointed why that is however...
