Right, guys, I know there are many questions about this on this site but some of them just don't apply to me and I can't go through millions of questions trying to find one identical to mine.. anyway, in march 2008 I dyed my hair black, I've let the majority grow out.. a good 5inches from the top of each of my layers is a ginger/auburn colour and the rest (around 4inches) is a brown colour. My hair is quite thin and about medium length, id like to dye it red, sort of like hayley williams new colour, but I don't know if I need to get my hair to all one colour before I do it or whether I can do it as it is now. I know a lot of people say "get your hair cut and keep cutting off the ends" but I want to do it within the next few weeks before I go back to school and I want it to be the same length as it is now.. so do I have to lighten it somehow or just do it as it is.. if I need to lighten it then how should I do it? Home kits preferebly because I'm abit strapped for cash at the moment! I live in the uk also, so please no american products!
