I keep on getting flies all over my grass groups of 20 and more
The flies are black with a shiney green on the back
Please could you tell me the cause and how I can get rid

Is there something dead and rotting on your lawn?
Whenever one of my cats would kill something and bring it home, if we didn't find it right away there'd be lots of flies a couple days later.

Those sound like green bottle flies
