    Adding vent holes in foundation
I would like to add some vent holes to the foundation of my home for flood insurance purposes. What's the best way to get it done and is it costly?

What kind of foundation? Solid concrete or cinder/concrete block?

    Cinder block.

    Thanks for the response.

They are not too bad to install. If your handy, knock a block out with a masons chissel and 5lb sledge hammer. There are vents to fit in the opening the size of a cinder block.

I guessing you may pay about $150-200 per vent to have someone install them.

Thanks skiberger. Any idea where to buy such a vent or who the manufacturer is?

You can get them at a lumber yard or home improvement store. I don't know off hand any manufactures.
