I am looking for information on parts dealers or suppliers for my Craftsman GT16 V-Twin riding mower. Mdl.# 502607201. The deck mdl.# is 502647053. Can anybody help?

Found no info in the usual places. Let me tell you what the info you provided so far tells me.
The GT says it is a garden tractor, the 502 tells me that it was made by Murray (probably a Yard King since it is a garden tractor.) The fact that you say it is a V-twin tells me it is likely a Vanguard engine and the fact that the deck has a model number reinforces the garden tractor assumption and says that it is probably an unusual size (for a Murray) such as a 52 or 56.
Tell me more and maybe I can do the same. You can get the year from the Code on the engine.

Clarke, I thought Craftsman was made by AYP. Has there been a series of makers?

Yes, they are like any other merchant; they will take bids on many different products. AYP does not make some things that Sears may want to carry.
Briggs is 500 (Sears responsible for warranty - lower purchase price) Tecumseh is 143, Murray was 502, Noma was 356 (I think) Poulan/WeedEater hava a couple.
