Failure to disclose location of septic tank
We bought a house in NC. About 3 years ago. It was one parcel split in two. The owners Daughter still lives on one parcel. We'll I am 95% sure my septic tank is on the other side of the fence onn their parcel. But the seller ,which didn't own it long and was the Mortgage Broker for the house Claims it is in the front yard. What can I do to hold up her sale until we clear up where the tank is.

Any competent septic company can locate you tank and have them pump it once they find it. Hold up her sale? We need more details, you only infer there is a sale . A spetic guy could do this in a day or two but it may cost you around $300 for locating and pumping. What makes you think the tank is not on your land. How far from the home to the lot line where you think it may be?

I FOLLOWED the line from the house off the bathroom and it only goes one way the way that the first owner said and I found a tank right where he told me it was.If I don't get a permanent easement to it before they sell the house next door is there a way I can hold up her sale
