Changing 30 amp circuit breaker to 20 amp
What do I do with the white wire from the 30 amp breaker ? The 20 amp breaker only has one receptacle.

    #10 wire needs a 30 amp breaker, #12 wire needs a 20 amp breaker.
Is the white on the breaker, the it may be 240 volts, or a GFI breaker.
    More info will help.

What are you hooking up? GFI, or 240 volts?

Multiple posts have made this a bit confusing. Short or swapping out some wiring why would you want to switch a 30 amp for a 20 amp breaker?

Hard to tell if it is a black and a white on a 2 pole breaker, of a GFI with the attached neutral?
