Can a 16 year old have there own apartment
Under certain circumstances can a 16 year old (girl) have there own apartment? If they are done with school (ged) have there parents consent and have someone (like an over the age of 18) to live with them, like a boyfriend, can they have there own apartment or rent a house with this older person by law? With the consent of the parents

No. A 16 year old is not allowed to enter into a legal and binding contract. Now, if the parents signed the lease, that would be a different story.

Oops! Husband corrected me. I got that from my business law teacher who had told me they can sign and be responsible for shelter. I guess he was wrong too.
