Well I am 17 & I am going to turn 18 soon. I have a stepdad that I HATE & my family treats me like a baby all the time. I really want to move out soon with my boyfriend so we can start our lives together. But I really don't think my sisters or my mother would agree with this at all. I don't know how to aproach them & tell them that I want to leave especially with my boyfriend (we have a big gap in age but have been together for more than a year). I really don't know what to do or how to escape this house!

Wait until you are 18 to do anything even tell them you are moving out. In the meantime get to know your boyfriend better and show that you are mature and responsible.
At 18 your parents really don't have any legal hold on you but they might threaten you or make it miserable for you.

Agreed. They can't really do much after your 18, however be careful, regardless of how you feel about them now, and how they feel now, if you cut each other from your lives, you will regret it later.

Why do you hate your stepdad, is he violent and abusive? Is he the main reason why you need to get out of the house?

If that is not the case, and life is tolerable at home, what is the big rush to start a life with a 'much older' man. How old is this man, and are your parents aware of you dating him? Do they approve?

You have to be able to support yourself. Do you have a job? Are you planning on moving in with your boyfriend, and is he going to provide for you?

This is a huge step that you are considering. A bit more information would be helpful in helping you figure out what to do.

Me and my stepdad just don't get along. You know how some people you just don't click with. We avoid each other as much as possible & we live in the same house but will probably see each other once a week.

They are not aware of me dating him but I do plan to tell them when I turn 18 in November.

I have a job & I do plan on supporting myself as much as possible with the help of my sisters. My boyfriend and I are getting a house together so & plan on just taking this slow so I can finish school and get a start on my career.

Well, if you really feel that that's what you want, then when you turn 18, pack up and go. Maybe not the best option but it is an option all the same.
