Good day gentlemen.
I just finished some plumbing a few days ago. I actually had a plumber do the rough-in and I did the actual hook up for a toilet, air tub, and sink. At first the water pressure was fine, now it is not. The whole house is affected. I looked everything over and there are no visible leaks. I am baffled as to why this would happen. Do you have any suggestions? Any help would be much appreciated.

Are you on municipal water or well water?

Hi Artman...

Check the water main and see if you can find a pressure regulator... see image. If you can find this valve it is possible that the strainer is clogged and needs to be removed and flushed clear.

Here, you would shut the water off and then loosen the nut with the strainer in it. Remove the nut and the strainer and clean the strainer. At the same time turn the main water supply back on (strainer and nut off) and power flush the pressure regulator to clear of sediment.

Replace the strainer and the nut and turn the water supply on. Purge all air/sediment from pipes by opening the faucets and hopefully you are up and running again.

If you can't find this valve then let us know more about your water main... how old, what material, what kind of shutoff, etc...

Thanks for all the suggestions. I actually solved the problem. I unscrewed the ends of the faucets that were affected and found pcs. Of teflon tape inside plugging the flow of water. Don't know how they got there but glad that it was an easy fix.

How they got there? You accidentially put them there most likely. Happens all the time, more so with a DYI project. Three wraps with teflon but no tape over hanging the threads or you can get excess sliced off and into the valves.
