    What's going on?
    [F]I had my period June the 10th Perfectly normal and on the usual date, then I had unprotected sex on the third and fifth of July stupid mistake to make I know, my period never came on the 10th of July or at all, I got a brownish spot on the 17th (over a week late) but nothing on the Saturday, a little spot on the Sunday and again on the Monday, Today (Tuesday) it has completely stopped again. My periods are normally like clockwork so I find this very strange.

    I took a pregnancy test Wednesday last week which was negative and went to family planning clinic on Thursday which was also negative, one nurse told me it could be too early to show the other said it was most likely I'm not pregnant, I have had constant nose bleeds which I have never had in my life until now, headaches, sickness, extremely tired but can't sleep, I don't know what to do.

    Do I do another test or do I take what the nurse said and assume that I am not pregnant?
    I have miscarried before but was nearly 3 years ago so trying to remember how I felt then is hard

    Test again now, you are over a week late it should come out positive if you are pregnant. Now.

    Nope... it still may be early as hormone levels may vary person to person. Wait till your next period is due or visit your doctor.

    Thank you!! I was getting confused with the different advice from the 2 nurses and they don't do blood tests to check just urine pregnancy test.

    Was that at your obgyn? If so they should give you a script for the blood work and get it done a lab!

    It was at the family planning clinic, you only get blood tests in Scotland if your suspected of having a miscarriage, they do a blood test at the maternity ward to see how much Hcg is left in your body
