    Yamaha YG6600DE Generator shuts down
My YG6600DE starts, runs for about a minute, then shuts down. I cycle the engine every 30 days for approx. 20 minutes. When it shuts down, it is immediate, as though the fuel or spark is taken away. Oil is up to the mark. The oil sensor does not light up or flicker indicating the low oil sensor is causing the issue. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
A minutes running time definitely is indicative of a fuel problem. Check flow to carb first and try it with the fuel cap loose.
    Peace,

Thanks for responding to the post! It turns out the "low oil" warning wire had a corroded connection in a factory bullet connector. I noticed the light flickering (low oil) when the engine cut out. The wiring diagram indicated a "connector" inline which turned out to be the problem.
