    Here I would record this way

    If John Dunn sold for cash

    Dr.Cash 900
    Cr. Service Revenue or (Sales) 900

    If John Dunn Sold on account

    Dr. Account Receivable 900
    Cr. Service Revenue or (Sales) 900
