    Social security garnishment
What is the maximum percentage of social security that can be garnished for alimony?

SS cannot be garnished for alimony, only child support, from what I read.

    Also some student loans.

If you have proof then please provide it when making a correction. You have posted to a thread that is over 2 years old. Things may have changed and the laws may be different now as when this question was answered. So if your going to correct someone then prove them wrong not just make a snide comment.

Your report has been ignored, in fact you were rude. You have been asked to provide info to back up what you said. It is possible laws have changed, but the answer you were rude to, is right, unless there has been changes
