How to start inheritance procedures in US?
My father left my mom and moved to US. I live in Europe but also posses US citizenship. Dod died and left 3 houses, some mortgages, and small company. How should I start all inheritance procedures? Where to go first?
What about morgages - shall I pay them on the same conditions that my father did?
I'll be grateful for your helps..

First you would find out the status of the possesions. Was there a will ? If not then the items left are to go to probate. If there was a will then you would have the right to see it if you are a legitimate heir. Your first stop is to go see a lawyer who is familier with the process of the local jurisdiction.

You first need to hire a lawyer in the state that your dad resided. They can find out the status of his estate (does it have to go to probate or was there a will). If there was a will, were you included or not? His bills have to be paid off before anyone else can inherit anything.
