I recently purchased a small, compact, 2 in 1 cycle sorts of things to use in my new apartment. I have a space, not far from the since, that has a closet, where I am planning to install this thing. The only problem is... I don't think there's any water access in said closet! I'm wondering if anyone knows if I would be able to route some of the water from the pipe to the closet without tearing down walls? The other problem I will have is drainage... I know this is sort of stupid and a hard question, but I'm a young gal with her first 1 br apt and I really really really want to make this work! PLEASE any ideas would be ridiculously helpful... :) Thanks everyone!

Getting water to your washer's the easy part. Drainage is another story. Be agvised that you will have to open walls and cut into the drainage system to install a washer station. To add to the mix you will have to vent the installation as well.
Has your washer got wheels? Could you store it in the closet and roll it out to the kitchen sink where you have both water and drainage already installed? OK! So it doesn't have wheels. You could install wheels a lot easier then installing a washer station. Whadda you think? Tom

Well here's what I know.
It just needs one water hook up-- it's japanese and the guy I got it from has this thing that would attached to the regular kind of hose. It also doesn't need ventilation because it's cool like that. But the drainage thing... it's possible I could just keep it in the kitchen? How would I connect that to the sink's drainage pipe? I'm not sure my landlord will appreciate me hacking up walls and f***ing with her plumbing... :confused::confused::confused:

Unless you're rolling in $ and want to tear up the walls using the washer in the kitchen's your best shot. You wouldn't connect to the sinks drainage. That's the neat thing about this. All you would have to do is hook the hose over the sink rim and discharge directly into the sink. Since most apartment washers have attachments that allow you to connect to the kitchen faucet to fill the washer I would say uou have things pretty much under control. Good luck, tom

This is brilliant... now I just need to look at the place again and make sure that would be possible... what kind of hose do I get? I seem to remember my mother having one that sort of had a filter on the end or something. Do they make them long?

As I've stated, "Most apartment washers have attachments that allow you to connect to the kitchen faucet spout to fill te washer." Check with the manufacture.
