I need to know what happens if you flush a sock down the toilet

Well, the story could either have a happy ending or a miserable ending. The happy ending (assuming you're willing to give up on getting the sock back) is that the sock gets flushed out to the sewer, where it will spend the rest of its days frolicking in the muck with el crappa and the baby alligators that live down there. The miserable ending is if the sock plugs your toilet; then you have to auger it (Drano or similar chemicals will NOT help - don't even bother).
