I have filed a petition in the TX county that I live in to change my sons name, but now I need to notify the missing dad in TX by newspaper legal posting. Can anyone tell me what needs to be stated in my newspaper post. Thank you.

Ask the newspaper. They run ads like that all the time and can probably help.

Something along the lines of this:
Notice of name change - Newspaper stories & ads - images - carcino.gen.nz

But you will need to specify that the child is a minor and list the father's full name and last known address.

I did call the local paper knowing that they deal with this and they could not give me any information. :(

Is that the only local paper? Did you ask the court clerk?

Is the local news paper the last place of known residence for your ex ?

I will go to the court house this Monday. And yes this is the local paper of where the dad resides. Ty for all your input, its greatly appreciated in a frustrating time.
