    Bi-Polar disorder
    Hello:

I'm certain my cat has this disease. Is there a cure? Kitty shrinks? Group therapy? Anything?

Mot adult cats sleep 16 hours a day and aren't able to fit mental illness into their schedules. Plus, mental illness is usually beneath them. What symptoms have you noticed?

    Double checked the thread...
    Nope, not the comedy section...
My cat was bipolar, then we figured out it was happening when my mother smoked crack around my cat, while living with me, unbeknownst to me...
    Does that apply?

    Hi Carol:

Well, she loves me until she hates me...

I know, I know... That's just regular cat behavior. Actually, I was looking for sympathy for ME.

Way to keep those priorities in line. ;)
Seriously, isn't that you self-enduced sympathy for a bi-polar cat. You have a given excuse now. ;)

Have you tried catnip? That's a cat's drug of choice. Fresh is best (grow some in a pot under lights?), but dried will work just fine. Buy catnip mice and candy canes and other toys. Your cat will wrestle them and sit on them and toss them around, and then will sleep for hours.

Our current stray cat had five adorable kittens two months ago. Want one?
